Outbreak waves | Analyzing infection events | Weighting stress factors | Data analysis | Mapping data
Description
In 1988 and 2002 there were two major outbreaks of the distemper and morbilli viruses in the North and Baltic Seas, which resulted in the deaths of many seals. The students analyse the development of the waves of infection and create a cartographic overview of the outbreaks. To do this, they use the data sets from 1988 and 2002 and enter them into the respective maps.
